Belarus can once again become the center of negotiations and contribute to peace in Ukraine. This was stated by the Apostolic Nuncio to the Republic of Belarus, Archbishop Ante Jozic, BelTA informs referring to the TV channel STV.

"This year we celebrated 30 years of diplomatic relations between the Vatican, the Holy See and Belarus. We are becoming a good relationship. The Vatican continues to develop this relationship through various projects. On the other hand, we also meet positive answers to various questions. As a representative of the Vatican, I can say that so far I have always found an open heart, help, support and mutual understanding in all spheres," said Ante Jozic.

While answering the question about the joint projects of Belarus and the Vatican, the Apostolic Nuncio said that next year there will be the 25th anniversary of the coronation of Our Lady of Budslau Icon that will be an occasion for meetings and visits. In addition, there will be various cultural events.

We are also talking about the Minsk agreements, when Belarus has made its territory available for negotiation. Ante Jozic believes that Belarus may host the new negotiations. At the same time, the Apostolic Nuncio stressed, the Vatican is also ready to promote peace in Ukraine. "I am sure that Minsk can become the center of negotiations again. I assume that there are such high-level movements. I want to emphasize that both Belarus and the Vatican and all those who want to become a platform should be open," concluded Ante Jozic.
