Belarusian doctors perform unique heart surgery for 3-month-old child

For the first time on the territory of the CIS Belarusian physicians have conducted a complicated surgery for a three-month-old child. The small patient with a left-heart failure syndrome was admitted to the Children's Surgery Center. People around the world having this diagnosis have to go through multi-stage surgical correction. In some cases even a heart transplant is required. Belarusian doctors conducted an extremely rare and complicated type of surgery. Annually no more than 10 such surgeries are performed around the world.
