"The Wild Hunt of King Stakh" returns to the repertoire of Bolshoi Theater of Belarus

"The Wild Hunt of King Stakh" will be performed on the stage of Bolshoi Theater of Belarus. The 88th season will end with the premiere of an opera thriller. Historical detective of Vladimir Korotkevich returns to the repertoire after 10 years. The 2021 version of the national opera was brought to the stage by director Anna Motornaya. The first orchestral rehearsal took place at the Bolshoi. Large-scale scenery and video content will take the audience to the mysterious swamps of Polesie and to the Yanovsky family mansion. The stage is full of national symbols. Slutsk belts are used in decoration. Prints of Belarusian icon painting complement the costume. In total, 200 stage vestments and the same number of headdresses were made for the premiere. In addition to the soloists, there are memance performers and a choir on the stage.
