Dzhabarov: I see great prospects
By imposing sanctions against Russia and Belarus, the West miscalculated. They hoped for a quick effect, that we will give up within six months. But they miscalculated.
It is very hard to break us together. And a striking example is the economic cooperation with the Russian regions. This is an opinion of the Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council on Foreign Affairs, Vladimir Dzhabarov, shared with channel Belarus 1.
Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia:
“Take our hinterland. After all, people there, not taking into account the time, the costs, actively joined in. The economy is rising from below. Small, medium, big business - all began to rise up slowly. It turns out that we can be not worse but even better. I admire the quality of goods from Belarus. I've never seen such goods. Even in the Far East there are a lot of Belarusian goods and they are of high quality. And we will always choose Belarusian goods. The fact that we started to cooperate with the regions is great. We work very well, many heads of regions visit Belarus, they offer options and Belarusians come to us. And I hope that such cooperation will gain momentum. For example, we invited Belarusians to replace IKEA which left the Russian market, we invited it because they are as good at what they do. Everything that IKEA did in Moscow, they did here, at their factories. If the Belarusians do it, it is good for your budget and our budget. And I think that we will provide better opportunities for our Belarusian partners than to invite partners who at any moment can pack their suitcases and leave. So I see great prospects.”
