Experts: Belarus supports friendly good-neighborliness, opening its doors to the residents of Europe
At a time when the West shows aggression, demonstrating readiness for war, as well as closes the borders for cars with Belarusian license plates, our country supports the parameters of friendly good-neighborliness, opening its doors to the residents of Europe. This is noted by experts.
Belarus has announced visa-free regime for citizens of 35 European countries.
Nikita Mendkovich, political scientist, head of the Eurasian Analytical Club, expert of the Russian Council on Foreign Affairs:
Nikita Mendkovich
“I can understand the logic behind this decision. It is a desire to show ordinary citizens of these countries that Belarus and Russia are not some aggressive regimes, that the same people live there, who simply defend their sovereignty. And the conflict is not at the level of ordinary, say, Austrians and Belarusians, but at the level of the ruling elites of the West, who are trying to seize and colonize our state.”
Andrei Starikov, political scientist, head of the BaltNews news agency:
“The answer to unfriendliness, to aggression, to barbed and caustic attacks is a friendly embrace, a friendly hand and open doors: come in, come in, come and see. Belarus is becoming such a platform for family reunions in the region, where the Baltics can see Russians on a neutral ground, although this ground is demonized by the officialdom of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Poland.”
