IAEA experts to check readiness of Belarusian departments for emergency situations

Experts of the IAEA mission will check the readiness and response of the Belarusian departments to emergencies. The visit of international experts will last almost 2 weeks. As stressed by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the delegation will visit the Belarusian NPP, the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry, the Energy Ministry, the national center for hydrometeorology, radioactive pollution control, and environmental monitoring, as well as some units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus notes that this mission is voluntary.

Our country has already successfully passed the so-called stress tests on the stability of the Belarusian NPP to various environmental conditions.
