Concise and clear arguments - Lukashenko outlines Belarusian position at meeting with foreign journalists
Belarus can't remain a passive observer in the current situation. Stability in the region is the basis of our national interests. We offer solutions to the conflict and are preparing to ensure peace in our own land. Decisions of the official Minsk are in the center of the world's attention. Alexander Lukashenko made our position clear at the meeting with foreign journalists.
Russian and Western journalists gathers around one table. Such a thing is possible today only in Minsk. Alexander Lukashenko is equally interesting to the diametrically opposite audience of the two worlds. Concise and clear arguments are what many lack at meetings with the Belarusian leader. Belarus is forced to become a nuclear power and is preparing to master the experience of the most combat-ready unit in the world. Alexander Lukashenko has outlined our position.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
“This is not the way to end the war. It will inflict colossal damage on the entire Europe and not only on Europe, but on the Eurasian continent. And maybe it will reach the American continents of South and North America. There's no need to take any chances.”
The agreement with Russia, initiated in Istanbul, is already perceived as a missed opportunity
Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
“Negotiations are at a standstill, but there is still a way out of this stalemate. There is an opportunity to sit down at the negotiating table and reach an agreement. I am absolutely convinced of it. Tomorrow there may not be such an opportunity, because the situation will change.”
