Forbes: Belarus becomes worldwide AI development center
Forbes published an article in which it called Belarus "the center for development of artificial intelligence". The authors made such a high assessment based on the latest data on the success of the High-Tech Park.
The publication gives an example of the growth of HTP residents from among the participants of the projects of the Silicon Valley and such countries as China, Cyprus, Great Britain, Austria. Journalists call a serious state support, legislative and educational initiatives a success recipe.
So the effect of the decree "On the development of the digital economy" (signed at the end of last year) became noticeable immediately. In the first half of this year the Park's exports grew by a record 40% (excluding new companies).
This is even more than in 2017, when for the first time in history, exports broke the $ 1 billion mark and grew by 25%.
Now, when artificial intelligence technologies are gaining popularity, foreign companies are actively opening their research and development centers in our country. The so-called AI-products developed in Belarus are used in the field of health care, the automotive industry, agriculture around the world. Perhaps, the Belarusian IT sphere can serve as an example of how the state can help start-ups in order to give them an opportunity to grow, and also to get a return from them.
