Forum "Youth Unity is the Power of Belarus" to unite half a thousand delegates from all over Belarus

Half a thousand delegates from all regions will take part in the youth forum in Minsk today. These are pupils, students and working youth. The President sent greetings to the participants of the 44th Congress of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union. Alexander Lukashenko noted that this is a landmark event in the history of the organization, and a chance to deliver one’s potential for hundreds of thousands of the union members.

"You are a wonderful, intelligent, active, responsible generation who grew up in an independent country and are already creating the best future for it. Continuing the best traditions of the youth movement, you generate interesting and necessary projects," the head of state noted. Today the youth forum will sum up the results of the work and determine the further steps in the development of the association. I am convinced that the delegates of the congress have many new useful initiatives and demanded ideas that will be implemented for the benefit of our beloved Belarus," the greeting says.

The Belarusian leader named patriotic education, support for young families, culture, science, sports and volunteering among socially significant areas in which each member of the Youth Union can fully express himself.

The participants will adopt a strategy for the development of the youth union for the five-year plan. The delegates are confident that attempts to rewrite the history of the Great Patriotic War should not be allowed. They also singled out issues of legal education for discussion.

Also, the subject of the conversation is the work of student labor teams - expanding the geography and the number of participants (almost 30 thousand people have already applied for them this year). A separate issue is the development of social networks and youth messengers. And the central event will be the election of a new Central Committee and Control Commission.

On the eve of the start of the youth forum, representatives of the delegations laid flowers at the foot of the Victory Monument in Minsk. This ceremony is taking place for the 44th time.
