Governor of Mogilev Region Leonid Zayats speaks on upcoming President's Address
Alexander Lukashenko will address an annual message to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly today at noon. The traditional event will be held not in the Oval Hall of the Government House, but in the Palace of the Republic this year.
The TV News Agency's mobile studio operates there. And Svetlana Lukyanuk is in touch with us again.
The parliamentarians, local authorities, diplomats, public figures and representatives of all regions of Belarus, are already gathering. The Address covers each industry, each area of development. It is not only for the Parliament but for the whole people.
One can trace how the country developed, what problems the Belarusians faced and what tasks were set for Belarus in different years following the Addresses of previous years. And, of course, each one became iconic for a certain area. The President talked about innovations and investments in 2001, and a program for the revival of rural areas was launched and, of course, a lot of attention was devoted to it and production and the social sphere in 2005.
This topic does not lose its relevance today, because the agro-industrial complex is both our food security and export. This means the replenishment of the state treasury.
Up to 2 500 people are expected today at the Palace of the Republic. And many are already here.
