House of Representatives discusses improvements to cybersecurity legislation
320 million cyberattacks were carried out on Belarus in 2022, and they are not getting smaller. This was stated by Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Neverovski at a seminar meeting in the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus.
After the report from the Security Council, the parliamentarians discussed the state and directions of improving the legislation to control the sphere of information protection and cybersecurity.
Today, the ground is being intensively probed abroad to search for pain points and triggers in the society to organize provocations that could rock the situation in the country. Various social groups are being closely scrutinized. The focus of such influence is still on military personnel, employees of government agencies, and the parliamentary corps. The goal is always the same - to vilify the authorities and law enforcers, to sow panic in the society.
Also during the seminar-conference, Igor Sergeenko, the Chairman of the House of Representatives, stated the need to develop new progressive methods of combating cybercrime. All government agencies should pay increased attention to cybercrime, he said.
