Integration of intellectual property to be developed in EAEU

The Eurasian Union proposes to develop integration in the field of intellectual property. The most relevant issues were discussed at the forum in Minsk. The five countries are interested in a single patent space: it guarantees the effective protection instruments in the single market. It is also proposed to introduce new objects of intellectual property a single Eurasian trademark. Much has already been done for the protection of copyrights. Thus, the EAEU provides for a single patent for industrial designs. It is valid on the territory of all the states of the union.

These days Belarus is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the national system of intellectual property. The agenda includes expansion of cooperation and strengthening of intellectual property rights protection in the conditions of sanctions.
