Result of talks between Golovchenko and Mishustin: strengthening cooperation in Union State
Moscow and Minsk intend to strengthen cooperation in the Union State. This will be the allies' response to the massive blows of the West on the economies of our countries. The impact of sanctions and the countering of bans in trade, investment and logistics were discussed today at a meeting of government delegations of Belarus and Russia. Roman Golovchenko and Mikhail Mishustin held talks in Moscow. The task of the two governments is to take coordinated measures to ensure the economic security of the allies against the backdrop of sanctions pressure (this was an instruction of the Presidents following the recent talks in the Russian capital). Strengthening integration in the Union State is the key to achieving the set tasks. The basis for close interaction is created by 28 Union programs. The active work in this direction is ongoing, stated the prime ministers. Belarus says it relies on the support of its economy by the ally in the context of sanctions. Among the support measures offered to Belarus is increasing supplies of domestic machinery to the Russian market, transition to a new pricing system for Russian oil, fixing gas prices in Russian rubles, and some others.
