Khrenin: Armed Forces of Belarus will do everything to ensure national security

The Armed Forces of Belarus will do everything to ensure the safety of the country, said Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin.

"We can see that our neighbors (Ukrainians) are concerned today by the fact that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus may carry out aggressive actions. We are talking about the ongoing planting of information about an allegedly prepared attack from our side. We have only one answer to this: do not provoke us, we do not intend to go to war with you. We don't want to go to war with Lithuanians, Poles and all the more so with Ukrainians. If you do not want, then do not take the wrong steps, then there will be no war," said Viktor Khrenin.

Our plans are defense plans. "In case we are attacked. If even one meter of Belarusian land is subjected to aggression, as the commander-in-chief said, the answer will be immediate and harsh. Therefore, we once again warn against provocations. You do not want war with us - we do not want it either," stressed the minister. "For the Belarusians the situation is not so aggravated today to panic. Everyone in his place today should quietly mind his own business. The Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus will do everything to ensure security."
