Special humanitarian aid delivered to Ukraine

The list of goods was agreed with the Ukrainian side last year by the heads of two countries - Alexander Lukashenko and Petr Poroshenko agreed on such delivery. It is already known that furniture and refrigerators will be sent to the educational and medical institutions of the region. This means that by the beginning of the school year the schools of Donbass will receive new desks, cabinets and chairs.

The cargo will be transferred to the most affected areas. According to the UN, nearly 4.5 million people were trapped in the fighting in the Donbas, or were forced to become refugees. Of these, almost 3.5 million need help.

In Severodonetsk, the Belarusian delegation passed the cargo to representatives of the Lugansk regional administration. In a private conversation, officials admit that they have been waiting for help for a long time.

Part of the food cargo was transferred to Kiev to the warehouses of the mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross. Those people who live in the gray zone or on the other side of the line of demarcation have experienced serious problems with medicine and food for several years.

In the evening of Saturday, Belarusian rescuers arrived in Minsk. Exhausting heat, more than 30 degrees, did not become an obstacle to accomplishing this mission. The second humanitarian cargo to Ukraine was delivered successfully. Rescuers say they are ready for new assignments.

Five years ago, few could believe that a violent conflict could occur in this region, And that the neighboring state would need support so much. But years have passed, and Belarus faithfully extends a helping hand to the neighboring country.
