Korotchenko: I do not believe that the West will think about a peace plan in the coming years
Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, Russian journalist and military expert, said that he does not believe the West will be thinking about a peace plan in the coming years, BelTA reports.
"We understand very well that all those labels that are hung on someone in the West work for their audience, but I think that the main thing is to destroy us as sovereign and independent states, as a pillar of that multipolar world that many talk about and to which many aspire. But there are always those who stand in the line of fire, and there are those who stand behind and wait to see how this global geopolitical scramble will end. I do not believe that the West will be thinking about a peace plan in the coming years," said Igor Korotchenko.
The expert explained, "If we analyze the documents that are adopted both in the EU and NATO, and the Vilnius summit is ahead, at least there is a consolidation of the EU budget for the next 2-3 years in order to still support Ukraine. Therefore, a peace plan is only possible as a consequence of Russian military successes and victories."
"The first priority for the Russian group is to liberate the entire territory of the Russian Federation, including the new regions, to reach the line of state borders as defined by the Russian Constitution. This includes liberating the territories of the new four subjects of the Russian Federation from the presence of Ukrainian occupation troops. "
