State-of-the-art laparoscopic and ultrasound equipment delivered to Vitebsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital

Mothers are very happy with our children's voices thanks to the latest medical equipment.The Vitebsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital is the oldest institution in the region where obstetric and gynecological care is provided. Thirteen years ago a serious renovation was made. The opening ceremony of the renovated maternity hospital was attended by the head of state. Alexander Lukashenko came here during the pandemic as well. Vitebsk region was the first to face the onslaught of a new coronavirus infection. Doctors of the northern region learned how to work in the new conditions, including delivering babies and treating women with COVID at different stages of pregnancy. Last December, the President got acquainted personally with the organization of work in Vitebsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital. At that time the chief doctor came to the head of state with a request. Elena Leonovich asked to help with the delivery of new equipment as the old one was outdated. Six months have passed. And today the latest equipment is in the operating room. Two surgeries have already been performed with the help of a modern laparoscopic unit. And the new ultrasound machine of expert class helped doctors in the diagnosis of very tiny patient, who was born prematurely, but through proper diagnosis is sure to get better. This is just one example of the implementation of a large state program for the development of high-level medicine in the regions.
