Laureates of 6th National Theatre Prize to be announced on October 28 at Kupalovsky Theater

The winners of the 6th National Theatre Prize will be announced this evening at the Kupalovsky Theater. A total of 70 productions were submitted from state and private theaters and cultural organizations in the first stage. Only half of them were selected for the final round. Creative intellectuals compete in 4 sections: "Drama Theater," "Puppet Theater," "Musical Theater" and "Performance for Children and Youth." Each of them has personal nominations. Since the end of September the finalists presented their performances to the audience and jury members, the last show was held this week and only yesterday the committee of experts decided on the distribution of awards. The names of the productions and the winners are kept secret by the organizers. We will announce them in our evening newscasts.

Colleagues from Belarus 3 will prepare a TV version of the awards ceremony for viewers. Socio-cultural section of Belteleradiocompany will air the first emotions of the winners, representatives of their favorite theater groups on October 31 at 2:30 pm.
