Lukashenko congratulates Metropolitan Veniamin on his birthday

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl, the High Priest of All Belarus on his birthday, BelTA informs.

"Under your leadership, the Belarusian Orthodox Church continues to strengthen Christian traditions, providing people with strong support in today's dynamic world, giving hope and faith and filling hearts with warmth and wisdom," the message says.

Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that the Church, through fruitful cooperation with the state, makes a considerable contribution to raising the new generation, promoting spiritual, moral and family values in the society, and promotes interfaith peace in the country. The Head of State wished the High Priest health, inexhaustible energy and success in his noble service to Belarus and the Orthodox Church.
