Lukashenko: Sovereign Belarus is able to find answers to any challenge
Without strong spiritual roots, the Belarusians would never be able to preserve their native language, culture and traditions. This was stated by the President during the awarding ceremony of the prize "For Spiritual Revival," as well as a special prize for workers of culture and art and the Belarusian Sport Olympus Awards. Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus is able to find effective answers to any challenges: political events, pandemic coronavirus or refugees. The President also recalled the times when after the collapse of the Soviet Union they tried to break the country spiritually by exporting from foreign ideals and so-called democratic values.
Preserving Historical Truth
2022, the Year of Historical Memory, will be a kind of revision of the last centuries to put together all the pages of the complex history: both heroic and tragic, to give a new impetus to local history, to continue the work on the preservation of monuments. After all, the loss of the image of the heroic past leads the state to disaster and deprives the people of the future. And it is especially important to protect the historical truth and to prevent falsification of fateful events for the country now, when external pressure is exerted on the country and Belarus has to again assert its right to its opinion and development.
