Marzalyuk: The white-red-white flag appeared in 1917

The white background symbolized Belarus, and the red stripe is not the blood of Jesus Christ, it is a symbol of the proletarian revolution, a symbol of social justice. The collaborators did not appeal to the BSSR, but to the BNR as a tradition, so they sought to use this attribute. The Germans did not prevent the use of this paraphernalia. Moreover, the Germans instructed that white-red-white symbols to be posted in every school next to Hitler's portrait in 1941.
