Why did Roman Protasevich's mom choose to return to Belarus?
Roman Protasevich's mother came back. She had been away from the country for almost three years. In March Natallia Protasevich filed an appeal to the commission on her return to Belarus. Let's hear the story firsthand.
Natalia Protasevich:
In April, I even remember the date, it was April 29, I received a reply that there were no criminal or any administrative cases against me, and in principle I could safely return home. And in May I immediately returned, I returned with great pleasure. There were a lot of emotions, because I missed my children very much, I missed my parents very much, but, unfortunately, only my mom was left, my dad passed away in April. I missed Minsk and the country in general. It means a lot to me that there is a home, that there is a native land, and that there is a family. This is the most important thing in life, when you have an opportunity to hug your children, to hug your mother, when you have an opportunity to go out on the street and hear native speech. This emotion is unforgettable, I am very happy that I came back.
Now the woman got a job. Natalia Protasevich noted that she had no conflicts at her workplace. There were no conflicts when crossing the Belarusian border either.
