Orthodox Christians celebrate Honey Feast
The Orthodox Church celebrates the Honey Savior holiday on August 14. On the eve of the holiday there is an all-night vigil in the churches, during which the Cross is brought out for worship, while in the morning, according to the clergy, there is a ceremony of blessing the water and honey of the new harvest. Also on this day the church celebrates the Feast of the All-Merciful Savior and the Most Holy Mother of God.
