Ministry of Internal Affairs and Belarusian Orthodox Church sign agreement on cooperation in prevention of drug addiction and involvement of young people in drug trafficking

The active position of the church and joint work of the clergy with the police in these matters has already brought some results, believes Ivan Kubrakov. The meeting between the Minister of Internal Affairs and Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin took place in the Interior Ministry Museum. The police chief said that through joint efforts the country had managed to avoid the global drug tragedy.

According to Metropolitan Veniamin, the Belarusian Orthodox Church is constantly working in the field of drug addiction prevention. Now the task is to consider the available experience, summarize it, choose the best ways and continue the work, systematically and routinely.
