Radziwiłłs rode on such horses - Belarusian racehorse breed revived in Polesie
A living treasure of Belarus: an endangered horse breed is being restored in the Stolin District. For its beauty and endurance the Belarusian horse was appreciated by the great princes. It is mentioned in the documents of the Radziwills. A few years ago the breed was almost lost. The specialists of "Polesskaya Niva" managed to revive the population. Today, the stud farm breeds horses, which are sold to private collectors.
The revival of the Belarusian breed of horses in the Stolin area began 10 years ago. They traveled to surrounding villages and searched for the dying out population. Then only 12 Belarusian horses could be added to the herd.
The stud farm belongs to the agricultural organization "Polesskaya Niva". Therefore, Belarusian horses always have their own quality oats and hay. The thoroughbred animals are mostly bought by agro-farms and equestrian enthusiasts. The demand for the Belarusian racers is growing every year.
The factory plans to build a horse park with walking and riding paths, so that everyone could admire the living treasure of the Belarusian nature.
