Algorithm found that can block phishing sites in Belarus within a day

The employees of the Investigative Committee have developed a successful algorithm, which within a day allows to block phishing sites in Belarus, the purpose of which is to swindle people out of money. This was reported by deputy head of the main department of digital development of preliminary investigation of the Investigative Committee Ivan Sudnikovich during a press conference on common criminal schemes.

The specialists of the agency are actively working on limiting the possibility of using criminal tools by fraudsters on the Internet.

"We constantly monitor criminal groups and in many cases block such sites even before the offense. We are also actively working in the direction of Belarusian bank cards and SIM cards, with the help of which criminal groups could withdraw stolen funds or call citizens. In August, a presidential decree was signed, according to which next year law enforcement agencies will be able to identify fraudulent chains, criminal tools and thus stop the withdrawal of funds outside the Belarusian jurisdiction," explained the representative of the agency.

Also, the employees of the IC are working to curb the activities of Belarusian accomplices, who help foreign groups to commit crimes against their compatriots.
