Appeal to EU leaders on inadmissibility of sanctions against Belarus adopted at meeting of Belarusian Peace Foundation

The appeal on behalf of Belarusians to the leaders of European states and heads of international organizations on the inadmissibility of sanctions against Belarus was adopted today at a meeting of the board of the Belarusian Peace Foundation.

Given the importance of the issue under discussion, the plenum was attended by the leaders of religious confessions of Belarus, heads of all diasporas living in our country, as well as representatives of culture, science, education and sports. The appeal speaks about the injustice of the actions that cause significant damage to the lives of ordinary Belarusian citizens, who, as is known, have always been characterized by tolerance, diligence and sincere desire to live in peace.

For several years a wide arsenal of economic and political sanctions has been applied to Belarus, long-term logistical schemes have been broken, the safety of people is threatened because of the impossibility to carry out maintenance of equipment, including medical equipment.

And the "civil society", for the sake of which the European Union imposed them, today lives outside Belarus, and they are not interested in the difficulties faced by ordinary compatriots.
