Address of the Security Council: Belarus has been and remains Russia's ally

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a statement of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA informs.

Belarus has been and remains an ally of Russia, fully sharing the goals and objectives of the Security Council. This hard, forced and justified mission to protect the Russian people in Donbass. In fact, there is a struggle for the future of the Slavic world.

Belarusians and Russians are brotherly peoples, our states are connected by a political alliance. And we cannot remain aloof from the events that are taking place in southern Russia.

Any provocation, any internal conflict in military and political circles, in the information field and civil society, is a gift to the collective West. Even if the forces concerned are not at the origin of such scenarios, they will not miss the chance to develop and lead them. This could lead to disaster. There has never been anything more terrible in Russian history than the periods of riots, destructive and senseless in its essence.

What is happening is not worth the consequences, the losses to which emotional decisions and illegal actions can lead. The interests of the people, the lives of ordinary citizens, and the integrity of Russia are at stake.

We appeal to the voice of reason. In this difficult time, all those who today are involved in the unacceptable confrontation within the united military brotherhood, are needed where the future of the Slavic world and the fate of millions of our people are decided. The Belarusian people have always been and will be with Russia.
