Queues of trucks at EU border growing
The border checkpoints with the European Union continue to ignore the norms of transport clearance. Over the past day, the accumulation of heavy vehicles at the Lithuanian direction has increased by 5%: almost 3.5 thousand trucks are waiting for clearance there.
Anton Bychkovsky, spokesman for the State Border Committee of Belarus:
"There are more than 1,200 trucks on the routes to Poland, about 700 to Latvia. In general, the control services of Poland have processed less than a third of cargo carriers of the norm, Lithuania and Latvia only about half. "
Meanwhile, rescuers, together with representatives of the Belarusian Red Cross Society, have deployed mobile heated tents for the drivers of large trucks, who are in line at the checkpoints "Pryvalka" on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border and "Berestovitsa-Bobrovniki" on the Belarusian-Polish border.
