OMON Special Task Force celebrates its 30th anniversary

On November 22, the Special Task Force celebrates its professional holiday. In 1988, by order of the USSR Minister of Internal Affairs, 19 detachments were created throughout the country, including in Minsk. For 30 years, OMON has occupied a niche in the national security system of Belarus and has grown into an independent special unit. Today, no mass event can do without them. The detention of especially dangerous criminals, the patrol of the streets of the capital and the duty at important sites are on their shoulders.

Yesterday the base of OMON was visited by Russian colleagues. The demonstration performances of our law enforcement officers deserve the highest marks.
