Pavel Utyupin: Satellite data exchange promotes economic and logistics development
The exchange of Earth remote sensing data contributes to the development of the economy and logistics. This was stated by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kazakhstan Pavel Utyupin to journalists ATN.
"We have a basis for cooperation between the countries. If we talk about the Republic of Kazakhstan, an intergovernmental agreement was signed in 2017 in the field of peaceful uses of outer space. In 2019, an agreement was signed in the field of data exchange on Earth remote sensing satellites, i.e. a legal basis has been created," Pavel Utyupin said.
The ambassador also noted the integration interstate agreement of the Eurasian Economic Union in the field of provision and production of space and information products and services based on national sources of Earth remote sensing data.
"The exchange of these data is currently taking place. On the one hand, the issues of economic development, mapping, logistical component are being solved," he emphasized. - On the other hand, it is the security of our country, because we have our own satellites"
