Preparation for sowing campaign discussed in Mogilev Region

The issues of discipline,the provision of fertilizers, fuel and lubricants and personnel have to be solved promptly. The preparations for the sowing campaign have been discussed today in Mogilev Region via a conference call. The Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Sergeenko paid a visit to Bykhov. The region has already started sowing early spring crops. At the same time there is a preparation of the soil and feeding of winter crops. 110 units of machinery and 313 machine operators have been provided by organizations and enterprises of the region. The total amount spent on the preparation for the sowing season exceeds 130 million rubles.

The pace and quality of work will depend on how organized the heads of districts and farms will be in organizing their work. First of all, it is necessary to motivate people financially. Everything is being done to this end, including provision of catering. Everyone is quite active and the people are hard workers. Carrying out the sowing campaign qualitatively and in time is the main task for the rural areas. After all, food and economic security depends on it.

Today the results of socio-economic development of the district were summed up in Bykhov. They noted successes not only in agriculture. Most important indicators, including the attraction of investments, were fulfilled. One of the major projects, the construction of a power plant using local fuel is now underway. It is planned to be commissioned by the end of the year. The housing construction and new jobs are also a priority.
