May 9 celebrations to take place nationwide

The Brest Hero Fortress will be the main location of the festivities in Brest. Tens of thousands of people will gather for a commemorative rally there. The heroic banner of Brest Fortress will be carried out on the central square.

In Mogilev, the festivities will begin in the Square of Glory with a laying floral tribute. The war songs will be performed, and there will be a dancing flash mob. The open-air museum is also waiting for the guests.

The events in Vitebsk will begin with a festive procession and rally at the Memorial in honor of the Soviet soldiers-liberators, partisans and underground fighters. Concert venues will be arranged in all parts of the city.

Popular singers, children's and folk bands will perform non-stop in Grodno, at the memorial complex "Barrow of Glory". The townspeople will see an exhibition of military uniforms and weapons, handicrafts made by artisans.

The festive poster of Gomel includes solemn procession and parade of military units, power structures and cadet classes, a gala concert and an exhibition of military equipment. And, of course, the the holiday will be crowned by fireworks all over the country.
