President: education is a strategic industry

The education system is not a service sector, but the most important strategic industry, said the President at a meeting with educators of the country, which is being held in Minsk at the moment. Alexander Lukashenko focused on the fact that teachers primarily educate citizens of the country and form the intellectual elite of society. A thousand people from all over Belarus were invited to the BelExpo national exhibition center.

A meeting in this format once again emphasizes the special role of teachers and the scientific elite. 2020 is a special year: it is completing the five-year period, while a reserve is being created for the future. So, one of the pressing issues is housing for young professionals. In the next five-year period, the President promised a 100% provision of students with dormitories. The teachers' incomes will also increase.
