Combat readiness of Armed Forces checked
The units of the 557th engineer brigade have pontooned across the Neman River as part of the combat readiness inspection of the Armed Forces of Belarus. The length of the crossing is about 130 meters. The banks were connected on the assumption that the bridge will be used by a column of military equipment, including tanks. The peculiarity of the task was that the ice had already fallen, the current velocity was high and there was a shortage of time. After the works, the column of military equipment crossed the bridge.
Igor Demidenko, commander of the troops of the Western Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Belarus:
As of this morning, a tank battalion of the 11th Mechanized Brigade was tasked with moving from Slonim to the firing range of the 6th Mechanized Brigade near Grodno. The tank battalion has left its deployment point and will march to the designated area, where it will perform the mission at the Gozhsky training range.
Yesterday, the column of mechanized brigade successfully crossed the Berezina River. The crossing also took place over a pontoon bridge built by the engineers of the engineering regiment. The combat vehicles passed through without any delays at night. The units will have to conduct training at the training range near Borisov
