Р. Golovchenko: Belarus has to respond adequately to steps taken by Ukraine

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Belarus. He called linking the decision on licensing a number of goods from the south as a response to the closure of Ukrainian skies for Belavia a fake. This is an echo of the past trade contradictions. New aggressive moves by official Kiev are yet to be adequately assessed by Minsk.

The outside world for Belarus does not end with the European Union. Minsk is confidently finding substitutes for the Western markets in the countries of the far arc. It is not only about the closest allies and partners - Russia and China - but rather about Eurasia, Africa, the Persian Gulf and Latin America.

Another proof is the trade balance in Belarus. It is positive and exceeded $800 million in the first quarter. It is the best result for 10 years.
