Incentives of social support fund for gifted students significantly increased

The size of the fund for social support to gifted students and pupils has been significantly increased, as First Deputy Minister of Education Irina Starovoitova stated.

The Special Fund for Social Support of Gifted Students annually rewards more than 2 thousand students, cadets and teachers, who have made a special contribution to the development of the gifted youth. The best intellectual and creative associations of pupils and students, which have won public recognition, have promising developments and achievements, are provided with financial support from a special fund.

Irina Starovoitova emphasized that the size of the fund's incentives for social support of gifted students and pupils has increased considerably. The Grand Prize rose to Br100 (Br32 for 1 Br). The special award was increased to 65 base values (for gifted pupils and students), to 40 BV (for winners of republican Olympiads) and to 45 BV (for the winners of national events, the winners of the republican contest of scientific works of students). The rewards for the contribution to the preparation of gifted youth (teachers, who trained gifted pupils and students) will be up to 60 BV.
