S. Sosedov: X-Factor is not about singers, it's about people

The world talent show, which is already 17 years old, has been adapted in more than two dozen countries. Belarus has taken its turn! Thousands of people, who are fond of singing seized this chance to present themselves to the audience of millions. But only three hundred people were chosen to go on stage at the show apartment of "Belarusfilm". Each contestant has only one attempt without the right to "Repeat". This is the first "reality show" in the country, where the viewer, along with the contestant, experiences it all backstage, gets goosebumps from the personal story and hears the first comments from the coaches.

Sergey Sosedov, teacher of the X-Factor project in Belarus:
This show is not about singers, it's a show about people. That is why profiles and stories are important there. And vocal competitions are competitions named after Tchaikovsky or Glinka. And that's a completely different criteria of evaluation. That's why the image, the character of the performer, his energy, his personality are important. The audience will forgive a false note, all the more for a novice singer. But a fake feeling will never be forgiven.

The viewers will enjoy 11 large-scale TV-castings in a concert format. As of next week, they will be on the air on Saturday and Sunday. Each episode will last for three hours.

The X-Factor search will start tomorrow in front of the whole country at 8:45 p.m.
