Shved: Western countries chose the path of exterminating dissenters, and it is more important for Belarus to maintain unity than ever before

The countries of the West have chosen the path of extermination of dissenters. It is more important than ever for Belarus to ensure the unity. Attorney General of Belarus Andrei Shved said this at a ceremony dedicated to the Day of Prosecutors, held at the memorial complex "Barrow of Glory," BelTA informs.

Andrei Shved called the peace the main value of the Belarusian people, which was pained and is the main condition for the development of the country.

"The fire of war is raging near our borders, the once blooming cities are being destroyed, children, women and the elderly are dying. All this is the consequence of the rabid policy of the collective West, which, for the sake of global domination, is ready to plunge the entire world into chaos. Imposing a pseudo-liberal order, destroying family values, disregarding international law, Western countries with their ideology of superiority (in fact, a fascist ideology) began to destroy any who disagreed with their position. We saw all this in 2020, when they tried to sow chaos and devastation in Belarus," he said.

According to the Attorney General, under the current conditions it is more important than ever to ensure unity and mobilization of all forces to oppose external and internal threats. He recalled that 2023 is declared in Belarus as the Year of Peace and Creation. Everyone can and should contribute to strengthening and prosperity of Belarus.
