"System and reasonableness" - Khrenin on technical development of Armed Forces of Belarus

The technical development of the Armed Forces of Belarus is carried out on the principles of systematic and reasonable. This was stated by Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin on air of STV TV channel, BelTA reports.

"The process of development of the Armed Forces is endless. We are constantly analyzing the conflicts that are taking place, how the forms and ways of using the armed forces are changing, of course, what weapons are used and when. We build our Armed Forces based on this," Viktor Khrenin said.

The Minister noted that at the same time it is a planned process. "We have a state armament program for 2021-2025, which we are guided by," he added. - Our Commander-in-Chief has repeatedly stated that this is not a static document. It is a document that can be amended based on the conditions of the situation, which has been demonstrated over the past few years. We have clarified it, looked at what is new".

However, according to Viktor Khrenin, it is important not to get carried away and make mistakes. "We try to adhere to several principles within the framework of the development of the construction of our Armed Forces - system and reasonableness. We cannot blindly copy and chase everything that appears. We look, analyze, think, evaluate based on the economic capabilities of the state. After all, as they say, you can bring down the entire economy with your wishes," he said.
