Tomasz Schmidt creates "Polska Pravda" foundation in Belarus
Today, the "Polska Pravda" foundation was presented in Minsk. It is intended to inform Belarusians, Poles, and Russians about internal affairs not only in the EU, but also in the US and other countries. The head and creator is a former judge from Poland, Tomasz Schmidt. Let us recall that in May, he asked for political asylum in Belarus. He explained his decision by disagreement with the current policy of Poland, persecution, and threats for his independent political position. As the former judge noted, today there is a need to transmit correct and verified information.
Tomasz Schmidt, Polish dissident, judge:
"The "Polska Pravda" foundation will work in the Polish, Belarusian, and Russian directions, promote ideas of peace and cooperation, in order to support people who believe that we can live peacefully, cooperate, that we are Slavs. There should be no problem between us. All these problems can be solved, you just need to know about the influence of, for example, the USA, Great Britain, how to do it so that this influence goes down".
T. Schmidt: I feel safe in Minsk
Tomasz Schmidt shared with journalists how he lives in our country today and emphasized that he feels safe in Minsk.
In Belarus, Polish dissident, judge Tomasz Schmidt, feels great. According to him, he has not wanted to join the European Union since he arrived in the country. But the first days and first weeks, he admits, were difficult for him because of stress. Now he has rested and feels like a different person. "I really like Belarus," said Tomasz Schmidt.
After Tomasz Schmidt asked for political asylum in our country, a criminal case was opened against him in Poland. At the same time, the Polish side's attempt to put Schmidt on the Interpol wanted list failed - the organization refused to add him to the wanted list. In Poland, Tomasz Szmidt worked as a judge at the Warsaw Administrative Court.
