Ukraine needed to fight and Ukrainians to die - Russian political scientist

The West does not need Ukraine as part of NATO and the EU. The latter sacrifices it for the sake of fighting Russia. This opinion was shared with our TV channel by Russian political scientist, head of BaltNews news agency Andrei Starikov.

According to the expert, due to the failure of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, all financial aid for Kiev will subsequently decrease.

What is Ukraine in NATO for? What is Ukraine in the EU for? Moreover, no one will ever use EU or NATO funds to rebuild Ukraine. Ukraine is needed for fighting, and Ukrainians to die. Westerners will never rebuild it, there is neither money nor resources for that. They are not ready to update their arsenals, giving Ukraine weapons only until the Ukrainians fight. But this moment is coming to an end, because the mood of even the current summit in Vilnius is already such that the counteroffensive, that was so much publicized, failed. It has, to put it mildly, failed to live up to expectations, so the consequences will be corresponding. Financial aid will continue to decrease, weapons will continue to flow, because rearmament is beneficial to the military lobby in NATO countries, mainly in the United States, but support to keep Ukraine's economy afloat and to give the civilian population something to eat will be much reduced.
