Criminal proceeding for deliberate provocation at border initiated
Deliberate provocation at the border. This is how the Belarusian Investigation Committee defines the incident on the Belarusian-Polish border. Criminal proceeding was initiated as a logical legal continuation. On the night of April 10 to 11, Polish soldiers launched fire at the Belarusian checkpoint Peschatka in Brest Region. At the time of the attack, a border squad served there, it could have been injured. Polish security officials also used stroboscopes, trying to blind and confuse the Belarusian military. During the inspection of the site, the investigation team found the damaged walls of the border module and about four dozen metal balls.
The video surveillance footage shows that three Polish security officials were shooting at the border module with a throwing weapon, presumably a special catapult. The actions of the unidentified soldiers of the Republic of Poland are qualified as particularly malicious criminal damage under Article 339 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Belarus. The investigation considers the unlawful actions of the Polish security forces as a deliberate provocation aimed at instability and disturbance at the state border.
Belarusian border post fired at from Polish territory.
Provocations from Poland are no longer unexpected. Earlier, the Belarusian border post was taken fired at in a similar way from the territory of Poland. The Polish side was informed about the incident.
