Concert for Independence Day of Belarus held in Belgrade
Not only Belarusians sing on this day! A concert dedicated to the day of our independence was held in Belgrade.
The prominent figures of Serbian culture were on the stage: they recited poems, sang songs and performed several symphonic works.
One of the performances was dedicated to the visit of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Belgrade in 1999. The words of support he gave to the Serbs then were absolutely invaluable at the time when NATO bombs were falling on the country.
At the concert, on behalf of 17 societies of Serbian-Russian-Belarusian friendship, a letter of congratulations to the President of Belarus on Independence Day of our country was signed.
One of the quotes: "This event is another weighty confirmation of the centuries-old legacy of brotherly relations between our peoples, our closeness, which was confirmed in the fight against fascism in World War II."
