Belarusians win 7 prizes in the Beginning Farmer business game

7 projects from Belarus won at the international competition Beginning Farmer in Moscow. The participants are schoolchildren who study in rural areas, as well as students of agricultural universities and young agrarians. The finalists included 34 teams from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Germany. Our country presented 10 projects, 7 of which were successful. These are cultivation of vegetables all year round, gathering medicinal grasses and useful blueberries, an agrohouse with rational use of vegetation of ponds, and also the project "Honey from Nikolai", where beekeeping - gives work to people with limited opportunities.

When we say the word business, many people mean only money and profit. Our guys, on the contrary, stress social responsibility. For them, it is very important to create new industries, new jobs, they pay great attention to the food security of the Republic of Belarus, to grow ecologically clean products. And on the whole, they are interested in developing our country. Probably it is not right to say that they are novice farmers. For them it is not just a game. They are serious about implementing their project to the end.

The Beginning Farmer forum took place at the Agros 2021 international exhibition. The young agrarians were able to learn new technologies in cattle breeding and fodder production. The Belarusians also invited their colleagues from Russia to the 'Lord of the Village' competition, which will take place this summer in Alexandria.
