Mural with portrait of Major Gavrilov unveiled on one of Brest streets on day of city liberation from Nazi invaders

Another legendary participant of the war years, defender of the Brest Fortress was remembered today in the city over the Bug. On the day Brest was liberated from the Nazi invaders, local residents unveiled a mural with the portrait of Major Gavrilov on one of the city streets. Gavrilov became an example of courage and fortitude for many generations.
