International Space Congress continues its work in Minsk

A large-scale and authoritative forum is being hosted by our country for the first time. Hundreds of specialists participate, more than 80 cosmonauts from 17 countries. The second day of the congress at the National Academy of Sciences featured many loud statements about space tourism, and about a trip to Mars in 15 minutes.

Two modules will be handed over to laboratories. It will be a kind of incubator for space experiments. An application for conducting scientific experiments can be submitted by absolutely any country. Our scientists have already developed and delivered to China an optical mirror for a space telescope. It is planned to open a separate optical center under the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The second day of the congress was started by the delegates on Victory Square. In the morning, the cosmonauts paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War.

However, tomorrow the participants of the Congress have no less cosmic plans: September 12 was declared a community day. It will feature communication with Belarusian schoolchildren, students and colleagues. The forum will end on Saturday, September 15.
