International Space Congress opens in Minsk today

The international forum will bring together about a hundred astronauts from around the world. The theme of space this week will become one of the main issues in Belarus. The Space Congress will open up new opportunities for Belarus to participate in international projects.

Guests will be able to get acquainted with the history of Belarus, its successes in the field of space research. In general, the space industry of Belarus includes more than 20 organizations. Information from orbit is used by the departments of national security, prevention of emergencies, agriculture.

Guests from almost two dozen countries will join the dialogue at Minsk platform: Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Austria. The forum will be attended by 200 delegates.

The Congress starts in less than two hours. The main theme of the 31st international congress is "We are creating a cosmic future." Reports on the latest research on the ISS, discussion of the difficulties in preparing for flights to Mars and the lunar program - this is the minimum program.

During the week, meetings with schoolchildren and students will be held, and the Walk of Cosmonauts will appear in Minsk.
