Icon of Blessed Virgin Mary consecrated in Pruzhany

The future national relic was consecrated in Pruzhany. Less than an hour ago, the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church held a solemn presentation of a new icon created by Brest artist Nikolai Kuzmich. This is an icon of the Virgin Mary "Lady of the Woods".

There are no similar icons anywhere in the world. The image is made of gold, silver and precious stones, according to the original sketch of a Brest artist. The author of the recreated cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk worked on the new "Virgin Mary" for 7 months. The Church in Pruzhany will be the permanent place of the icon location.

The image of St. Barbara was also brought to the church from Ruzhany by a church procession. The icon in the same unique technique has been traveling around the country for more than a year, as an averter against pandemics and emergencies. St. Barbara will be placed in the Holy Trinity Church in Ruzhany.
