Tashkent to have a street named after Yakub Kolas
A solemn ceremony of opening a bust of the Belarusian national poet was held in the capital of Uzbekistan. The classic lived here in the early 40's. The bust is set at the State Museum of Art.
Belarus intends to develop the dialogue with Uzbekistan as quickly as possible, Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting in Sochi and later on at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Our country is ready for active actions in the trade and economic sphere. The trade turnover between Belarus and Uzbekistan is growing, but clearly does not correspond to the potential of Minsk and Tashkent. The lion's share of Belarusian exports to this country is made up of tractors, agricultural machinery, road and construction machinery. In Uzbekistan, the first assembly plants were opened. And in the near future there will be a plant for the production of road-building machinery and the production of grain dryers.
